Christmas Walk & House Tour 
Celebrate the beauty of the season with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Christmas Walk and House Tour!
The traditional Christmas Walk begins on December 3 at 6:00 pm when Santa Lucia, the Swedish symbol of the season, and her attendants offer Swedish cookies to visitors. Santa makes his appearance to light the Great Tree on the Courthouse lawn. Enjoy an evening of holiday shopping and dining in historic Geneva and delight in chestnuts roasting, strolling carolers, freshly-made candy canes and hot cider. On December 3 & 4, the House Tour opens the doors of five homes in Geneva for self-guided tours to show beautiful holiday decorations by some of Geneva’s very own home decorators.

Ellen DeGeneres Show Visits Geneva
Come Play Ball – 1858 style The Geneva History Center is seeking avid baseball fans to help us stage an 1858‐rules baseball game at Peck Farm Park. The game is scheduled for Sunday, October 3 at 2 p.m. Our Geneva Rovers will be taking on the Batavia Bat Men in nine innings of old fashioned fun. Each year we stage a throwback match to remember Geneva’s long baseball history. Last year, the Bat Men beat us in the ninth so we hope to return the favor in October. If you, or anyone that you know, are interested in playing for the Geneva Rovers, please contact Dave Oberg, Executive Director at (630) 232-4951 or email Exec_Dir@genevahistorycenter.org. We will hold two practices on Thursday, September 16 and Thursday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Peck Farm Park, Field #2 to familiarize new players with the wildly different rules and customs. First Friday’s Gallery Walk 
The First Friday Gallery Walk is a self-guided art walk and reception to showcase the Art Galleries of Geneva. Participating Galleries stay open “late ‘til 9” the first Friday of every month. All of the galleries are within walking distance of each other. A Gallery Directory is available at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, at www.artgalleriesgeneva.com, or at any of the participating galleries. Many of the galleries provide refreshments and some may have special events, artists show openings, or live performances happening at the galleries during First Fridays. Geneva’s Art Galleries feature world- class paintings, photography, sculpture, fine contemporary craft, fiber arts, jewelry and cultural arts by nationally and internationally known and local artists. Events occur between 6-9 pm. First Fridays is sponsored by the Geneva Arts Commission, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, City of Geneva Economic Development Department, the Galleries of Geneva, and most importantly… You!
