Regarded as America's most popular painter during his lifetime, Norman Rockwell has endured in the warm memories of people who enjoyed the covers he painted for The Saturday Evening Post for nearly 60 years. This program, presented by Art Historian Professor Jeff Mishur of Art Excursions, will offer an entertaining and educational look at the development of Rockwell's career.

The Art of Norman Rockwell
On Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2 PM the Geneva History Center hosts Art HIstorian Professor Jeff Mishur of Art Excursions for a discussion of artist Norman Rockwell. Rockwell enjoyed tremendous popularity during his lifetime for his nostalgic and whimsical illustrations, many of which graced the covers of the Saturday Evening Post. Professor Mishur will offer an insightful and engaging look at this beloved and iconic American Artist.
Admission is $5 for nonmembers and $3 fo rmembers, with all proceeds benefiting the Geneva History Center. The Geneva History Center is located at 113 S. The fourth in a series of Molly O’Keefe mysteries - Poison in the Parlor
In this mystery for ladies only, Molly holds a tea party, inviting some of the most charming and creative ladies of her social circle. In the midst of the festivities, though, someone reads a poesy, a seemingly charming poem with a hidden message that chronicles the murder of one of the guests. Poison is quickly found to be the cause of death, but the murderer remains elusive until the ladies solve the crime. This mystery is accompanied by the savories, scones, and sweets of a fabulous high tea, as well as coffee, tea, and a glass of sherry for those ladies who dare to imbibe
